How to support Hayami

Donate: You can donate preferably via Ko-Fi, Liberapay or GitHub Sponsors. You can cancel at any time, and there are no additional perks gained from donating, other than helping to support the project’s continuation & development.

What tips go towards

This project was created with a pretty simple premise: anyone can comment, anywhere they want, bringing about the project’s slogan, “Comments, with you”, as you can embed Hayami anywhere you want it to be. The project was stemmed by the shutdown of particular anime streaming sites yielding tens of thousands of comments, to even actions brought about by an official anime streaming site to slash the community aspects from it completely. After a while passed, no proper solution came about, which made me create Hayami, brought into development in November 2025. Since then, Hayami officially supports Reddit, Disqus, MAL, AniList, The Anime Community, and (hopefully) many more discussion platforms to come in the foreseeable future. All of my work is volunteer-only and completely unpaid, so if you enjoy my work and wish to support it, please feel free to donate. All donations to me will go towards:
  • VPS/Dedicated infrastructure: Hosting which includes the sites, backends and databases that map discussions across the web
  • Software/hosting licenses: helps me bring about the project in itself
  • Third-party IaaS/SaaS: hosting object storage (for archival comments sections), and enabling further discussion platform support + enhanced accuracy
Even small donations will go a long way. I’d heavily appreciate monetary contributions to allow for continued maintenance to pay for server costs, and allow for continued features in the future.

Ko-Fi

You can use Ko-Fi to support the project providing monthly or one-time donations through PayPal or Stripe (Credit/Debit Card).

Ko-Fi supports PayPal and Stripe (debit/credit card). If you’re based in the UK, you can also Pay by Bank, which lessens fees compared to card.

Donating through Liberapay

Donating through Liberapay allows you to setup recurring donations weekly, monthly, yearly, every 3 years, and so on, at any amount you like.

Choose if you want your donation to be public, public only to myself (private), or secret (anonymous donation). If GBP (Pound Sterling) isn’t your preferred currency, feel free to change it for your preferred currency just below the donate button.

Liberapay will then do the calculations so it doesn’t get swallowed in fees. You can even donate every 3 years, calculated at the rate you want to donate. Liberapay is respecting to what you want to donate so it doesn’t get absorbed in fees. It uses Stripe to do payments, which uses debit/credit card. Alternatively, you can donate via PayPal also.
